Google notes the possibility of winning prizes — mostly like a Home Mini — and the ability to demo products. This isn’t the first time that Google has shown off its products at a pop-up event. Last year, the company set up a pop-up donut shop, where guests could step in, get some donuts, and ask the Google Home Mini a question. Google also launched two other pop-up events after its annual October events in 2016 and 2017, showcasing the variety of new products it launched including the Google Pixel, Pixel 2, Pixel Buds, Pixelbook, and more. In a bid to raise awareness for its smart home products, Google has kicked off a pop-up event in New York City that shows off the best features of the Google Home Mini and the Google Home Max smart speakers. This pop-up is a little different than others you may have seen.

There are two mini-golf sections that wind through the event space. At the first station, I was told to imagine that it’s dinner time and time for the children to tidy up and get ready for dinner. I said “Hey Google, broadcast it’s dinner time.”The Google voice then announced diner time, and I then hit the golf ball.
