They’ve been great “budget” phones (around $200-ish) that don’t feel cheap like many “budget” phones. The battery life is immense, and the speakers are really good. I don’t use earphones so the lack of a jack does not bother me. Having SD card support is really useful too. Videos are a little jittery and that’s an area where a flagship would probably excel.
The G80 is by no means a bad chip but it would have only cost Samsung a few dollars more to have used a Dimensity SOC and this phone would have been almost perfect for the money. I personally don’t see the point of paying megabucks for a phone. I recommend this one as offering plenty of bang for the buck. The stylus may not be necessary these days for some buyers, but it is tucked out of the way if you don’t have much use for it. It comes in handy for me, however, when I text . It just doesn’t have the feel or function of a truly bigger phone/screen.

I’ve tried everything to disable this but they still go bold and emoticons pop up if I accidentally click them. Yes I definitely recommend the Galaxy 7 on up to anyone that asks me. I give this a 10/10 for the Excellent camera. After a year of use, i felt like this phone couldnt last for a day on a single charge. The edge design sounded cool, but in reality it was really inconvenient and stupid. It made it where the phone would click on things i didn’t intend to click on cuz of the sides being touched by my palms.

It can take a rather long time to get into all its settings and adjust them to make the phone more to your liking. I’m also hoping when Android 13 and Samsung’s UI 5 update it puts a little more pep in the step of the A53 5g. Some of it you can remove, and some you can’t. Some of this was improved by working with the settings and putting it in a less bulky case and a screen protector on it. I suggest you do the same, because if you want all those years of updates and security patches you gotta protect the phone.
Overall, given all pros and cons, I would recommend this phone to anyone who knows how to take good care of their electronics and who does not need or want more than a few apps and games. Typing on this phone has taken getting some used to, as it seems overly sensitive to touch. I tend to minimize my messaging apps a lot on accident while I’m typing. The Stylo 2 is also very lightweight, and feels fragile when you lift or use it. Sound is richer and louder than I am used to coming from an LG phone, and the stylus adds an interesting new way to interact with the phone. I have not experienced any of the alleged problems that a few others here are reporting.

They appear to have some blur to them and just very low quality / resolution. I am using the default camera app that comes with the phone, I have tried a few third-party camera apps but they don’t seem like they can use the cameras properly on the phone. (Yes, I have adjusted the screen sensitivity on settings. ) I also don’t like that the 6. 4″ screen is just longer & skinnier than the g7 Power’s 6. The two phones are about the same size overall, but the g Stylus screen is just skinnier by eliminating some of the “dead space” that the g7 Power screen had. The performance of the g Stylus is TERRIBLE.
